Today I wanted to briefly touch on one aspect of what Dr. Darren Weissman refers to as the Five Essential Acts of Self-Love (or the Five Basics). They include: Water, Food, Rest, Exercise, and Owning Your Own Power.
Complete Health in your own House of Health requires balance in all areas:
- Body (Physical)
- Mind (Mental)
- Spirit (Spiritual)
As you work on one area, it will naturally effect the other areas, but can also throw the balance off. Sometimes you may need to focus more on one area where you are weak to help strengthen the other areas. But just as you wouldn't spend all your time in the kitchen, bathroom, or bedroom of your physical house, focusing too much, or only relying on one area creates imbalance or stress. To effectively create balance in your body, life, and relationships, working on all three areas is essential. As you strengthen all three together, while using the Five Essential Acts of Self-Love, you will create the strong foundation to reinforce and support your overall health and well-being. I will be going more in depth and covering each of these Five Basics over the next couple of weeks. I'd like to suggest that before you read over them, make an inventory of where you're at in each area, and where you'd like to make some improvements, or see some changes. I'll do the same and share my thoughts at the end of each post. I hope you enjoy!
